Career Services

Faculty and Staff Resources

Faculty and staff play a critical role in helping Aims Community College students prepare for their career pathways. The following services and resources can inspire career conversations with students about topics such as soft skills development, resumes and interviews. Please provide at least two weeks' notice per request and understand that requests will be honored based on staff availability.

Classroom Workshops

Career Services can come and present to your group or class of students. These engaging, interactive workshops help students learn about and develop the skills and tools that employers seek and that they will need to be career-ready.

Students will learn resume structure and how to articulate their skills based on their unique experiences so they stand out from the crowd!

This workshop is mostly lecture-based with some practice and direct application.

Students will learn the process of preparing for an interview, including how to answer common and tough interview questions.

This workshop is part lecture and part practice (mock interviews).

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the eight NACE career readiness competencies and be equipped with the essential skills and knowledge for a successful transition into the professional world.

This workshop is part activity-based with reflection and discussion.

A Career Services staff member will visit your class for 15-30 minutes to review services, events and resources available to students. Help connect students to Career Services services today!

Have another career-related topic in mind? Reach out and we'll work together to bring it to life.

I encourage our faculty to invite Aims Career Services to the classroom. Lynn from Career Services brings her wealth of knowledge and love of students to my classroom twice each semester and has helped students prepare resumes and cover letters and practice interviewing to prepare for what lies ahead after graduation. The Career Services team provides current and former students the tools and confidence to showcase the skills they gained at Aims. Those services are available for a lifetime.
