Professional Background
Andrew began his career in higher education in 2005 as a lecturer at the University of Northern Colorado. While teaching, he worked as a clinical exercise physiologist at North Colorado Medical Center where he also served as the department internship coordinator. It was during this time that he identified a passion for supporting the academic and professional development of students representing diverse backgrounds through holistic advising, mentoring and teaching.
In 2018, he transitioned from healthcare to working full-time as a faculty lecturer, academic advisor, and health professions advisor at UNC. These roles allowed him to continue supporting students by providing guidance in degree planning, probation advising, and career development. Andrew joined the Aims2UNC team in 2024 to support students who are navigating through the many challenges and triumphs associated with transitioning from Aims to UNC.
