Professional Background

Jamie’s career in higher education began at Colorado Mountain College-Alpine Campus. As a student there, she spent her time working in Residence Life and Admissions. From there she moved into Academic Advising and Admissions at UNC while finishing her Bachelor’s Degree. Upon graduation from UNC, she worked in the Native American/Asian, Pacific American Cultural Center and the President’s Office at UNC. Her first time as an employee at Aims, 1999-2001, she worked at the Fort Lupton Campus as a Recruiter. Then life happened and she moved to a rural, mountain community where she was the only full-time social services employee for 17 years. She was responsible for handling Child Protection, Adult Protection and Foster Care. In 2018, she came back to Aims where she found her passion of advising Concurrent High School students and working with High School Counselors. This passion has brought her to her current position as a Success Coach in the HS2Aims program. Jamie believes it's important to leave people, places and things better than you found them. She lives authentically and treasures the idea that people may not remember what you did or said but they will always remember the way you made them feel.
