  • Professional Background

Professor Darooka first started teaching Mathematics as a graduate assistant in Fall 2004, and began working as a full-time instructor in Fall 2006 at Hopkinsville Community College, part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She taught at HCC for ten years. Additionally, she worked as a Mathematics tutor from Fall 2001 to Summer 2005 while in graduate school helping tutor students with learning disabilities. Professor Darooka moved to Colorado in Fall 2018 to join the esteemed faculty of Aims Community College, and has been teaching College Algebra, Introduction to Statistics, College Trigonometry, Math for Liberal Arts, and other courses at the Fort Lupton campus of Aimsever since.

Personal Interests

Professor Darooka is passionate & enthusiastic about teaching Mathematics and helping students gain skills to be successful in their academic pursuits & future endeavours. In her personal life, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She likes to read and is an ardent fan of the Harry Potter Wizarding World universe.
