Applied Technology and Trades Center

Designed with student input, the Applied Technology and Traces Center serves as a living lab, with a solar array generating power to the building and cutaway designs and open-ceiling design elements that allow views of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other building systems at work. 

Students can access the following facilities and amenities in the ATTC:

  • Welding technology facility on the main floor
  • Community Lab maker space - Room 106
  • 3D printing lab - Room 213
  • Two Computer Aided Drafting CAD labs - Rooms 209 and 217
  • State-of-the art computer lab equipment 
  • Library with textbooks and other resources for Construction Management and CAD programs - Room 202
  • Arty's Cafe - near the lobby

Construction Management

Associate of Applied Science
Gain hands-on knowledge and skills in blueprint reading, surveying, project estimating and construction project management. Learn foundational architecture and computer aided drafting (CAD) software used in construction.
Explore the classes that will teach you about computer aided drafting to start or advance your career supporting engineering, construction, architecture and manufacturing teams. Learn the software used by CAD professionals, including AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Revit Architecture and Inventor.

Industrial Technology

Associate of Applied Science
Learn about electrical processes, energy technologies, automation, business ethics and values, manufacturing, teamwork and process technology. The Aims industrial technology program has six themed labs where you can deepen your learning with hands-on experience in specific aspects of manufacturing.

Oil and Gas Technologies

Associate of Applied Science
Study the petroleum industry and duties and responsibilities of oil and gas production technicians and process technicians, their work environment, equipment, systems and instruments as well as energy technologies in use and in development today. Learn about construction site hazards and unsafe practices, related health and safety regulations and standards, and loss and theft prevention.

Welding Technology

Associate of Applied Science
Explore courses that teach you how to cut and gouge metal, read blueprints and master the most common welding techniques used today. Learn shielded metal arc welding (stick welding), gas metal arc welding (MIG welding), flux-cored arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding (TIG welding) and pipe welding.

ATTC Building Amenities and Accessibility

  • There are two accessible entrances to the ATTC lobby. 
  • Elevators are located just down the hallway leading from the lobby.
  • Vending machines are located under the stairs in the lobby.
  • The Arty's Café coffee shop and a student lounge are located in the lobby.
  • There is a library for studying on the second floor, Room 202.
