The Creative Center of Aims

Named for the first president of Aims, Dr. Ed Beaty, this building is considered the creative center of campus. 

Ed Beaty Hall offers plenty of space and technology to cater to the various art and media communications programs at Aims including:

  • Ed Beaty Hall Gallery, where students in the various arts programs at Aims showcase their portfolios
  • Ed Beaty Hall Theater, a performance venue for music and theatre students
  • Ceramics, jewelry-making and painting studios
  • Aims Student Radio
  • A TV studio, green-screen room, surround sound studio and video-editing booths

The President's Office is also located here.

Ed Beaty Hall Accessibility and Amenities

  • Accessible parking spaces are available in the west and south parking lots.
  • Accessible entrances are located on the west, northeast and east sides of the building. The center entrance on the south side of the building has automatic doors. 
  • Vending machines and a microwave are available in the central atrium study area just across from Aims Student Radio.
  • A single-occupancy, all-gender bathroom is available in room 108, near the Music and Art departments.

Courses taught in this building support various creative degree programs, including:

  • Art History
  • Audio Production
  • Radio Production
  • Studio Art
  • Television and Video Production
  • Video Editing and Effects

The Early Childhood Education, Computer Information Systems and Math programs are also housed here.

Ed Beaty Hall Theater

The Ed Beaty Hall theater hosts recitals, performances and Board of Trustees meetings.
