Aims Introduces New Arty the Aardvark Mascot

The refreshed costume was unveiled in a video shared with faculty and staff on Friday. The event also commemorated Aims Day on January 24 as well as the college’s 54th anniversary. The aardvark was chosen as a mascot by the first class of the college’s students in 1967. 

In a typical year, Arty makes appearances at public, student and staff events for the college. With restrictions due to COVID-19, he won’t be making any public appearances soon. However, he plans to make more video appearances on social media throughout spring and summer.
