College for Kids Summer Program Returns for 44th Year with Exciting New Offerings

The summer program, now in its 44th year, will open for registration March 24.
Since 1981, the Aims College for Kids (C4K) program has presented opportunities to explore new subjects, develop skills, and engage in hands-on learning. C4K provides diverse arts, sports, science, technology, and leadership courses designed for students who want to try something new in an interactive and supportive environment. Through College for Kids, students are offered programs not generally found at their regular school to introduce them to career paths and college.
“College for Kids ignites a passion for discovery that builds confidence and curiosity for lifelong learning,” said Jeannine Truswell, Aims Board of Trustees member. “I’m proud that Aims has supported this effort for decades.”
The program is open to children between the ages of nine and 12. C4K will host four-day sessions in Loveland, Windsor, Fort Lupton and Greeley this year.
The dates are as follows:
- Peakview Academy in Loveland | June 2-5
- Aims Fort Lupton Campus | June 9-12
- Aims Windsor Campus | June 16-19
- Aims Greeley Campus | June 23-26
Expanded Learning Opportunities
C4K is growing with new classes for participants to choose from.
- In Master Board Game Builders, students explore game strategy, develop clear instructions, and design their own board games, combining creativity and critical thinking.
- Healthy Hustle introduces students to the essentials of nutrition and fitness through interactive activities, fun fitness challenges, and hands-on snack-making, ensuring they develop lifelong healthy habits in an engaging way.
C4K also works with community and nonprofit organizations to offer programming.
- Aims has launched a new partnership with Youth Empowerment Group to offer Power Up. It equips students with essential life skills through interactive discussions, games, and activities that build confidence, resilience, and healthy decision-making.
- Young AmeriTowne provides a new hands-on experience in community economics by allowing participants to take on real-world careers, manage money, and see how personal and business decisions shape a working town.
- A continuing collaboration is with the Young American Financial Education Center. YouthBiz Shark Tank teaches students how to develop a business idea, create a product model, and pitch their concept to a panel of judges, providing real-world entrepreneurial experience in a competitive and engaging environment.
Pricing and Registration
Tuition for the Loveland, Windsor, and Greeley programs is $75 for the entire four days, including morning and afternoon classes and two snacks and lunch. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the Fort Lupton program is offered at a reduced cost of $25 for the same comprehensive experience.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 24, at aims.co/C4K. Space is limited and fills up fast. Review the class descriptions to help plan your child’s schedule. If you have questions, email collegeforkids@aims.edu or call 970-330-8008.
