Paramedic Application Information

• Applications for Fall 2025 will be accepted beginning March 1st, 2025 UNTIL FILLED.
• Applicant interview and testing will begin between May 19th through May 23, 2025.
• Additional interviews will be held based on open availability for applications received after  May 26, 2025.
• Initial Selection Process will be the week of June 2, 2025.
• Classes begin the week of August 25, 2025.

Before Applying

Before applying to the Aims paramedic program, you must meet these four minimum requirements:

1. Current State of Colorado EMT Certification: Basic, Intermediate or Advanced (AEMT)
2. Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR Certification
3. Proof of completion of the EMS IV/IO Therapy class (EMS 1132)
4. Proof of completion of a college-level biology course

Additionally, while not required, it’s helpful to have one to two years of either paid or volunteer experience working as an EMT (basic, intermediate or advanced) for an ambulance agency, fire department or emergency department.

After Applying

After applying to the Aims paramedic program, you’ll need to meet the following criteria in order to be accepted:

1. Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
2. Provide proof of all current immunizations required by Aims (see the paramedic program checklist below)
