Learn Fundamental Healthcare Skills with a Medical Preparation Certificate

Certificates are a great way to acquire new skills in less time than a degree program requires. The Aims medical preparation certificate program is a merit scholarship dual enrollment opportunity that gives high school students the chance to earn college credit and finish the program by earning six healthcare certificates:

  • Intro to Allied Health
  • Med Prep
  • Nurse Aide
  • Healthcare Readiness and Professionalism
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • American Heart Association First Aid

Introduction to Allied Health Certificate

This certificate is offered exclusively to high school students enrolled in the College in High School program. Earn six college credits while in high school by studying the basics of allied health careers, medical terminology and emergency responses.

Nurse Aide Certificate

This 5-to-6-week program gives you the knowledge and hands-on lab and clinical skills to prepare for a state exam and become a certified nurse aide. Learn basic care techniques including helping with personal hygiene and grooming, eating and drinking, taking vital signs and using assistive medical equipment. Healthcare Readiness and Professionalism Certificate
