As the principal aide to the President, the Executive Vice President plays a crucial role in overseeing all operations of the Office of the President, including management of staff, budgets, administration, policies, procedures, accreditation and institutional reporting.
The Executive Vice President is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the development of core initiatives for the Office of the President and serves as the President's primary strategic liaison with college and community constituencies. Working closely with vice presidents, other executive staff, and department managers, the EVP plans, directs and coordinates operational activities at the highest management level to ensure that Aims Community College operates at peak efficiency.
In addition to these critical responsibilities, the EVP serves as the point person for policy analysis and strategic consultation on major issues affecting the college. They also coordinate special projects on behalf of the President and participate in institutional planning, policy development, and problem resolution.
The Executive Vice President's areas of responsibility include these four areas:
- Serves as the lead executive and backup support for the CEO/President
- Institutional-wide special projects
- Leadership for the development, execution, and measurable outcomes of the Aims’ strategic plan
- Oversees the Accreditation/Compliance, BaJEDI and Institutional Research and Assessment departments.
