Acute Care Nurse Aide Program Admission Requirements

This program has specific entry requirements and space is limited. Please read the following for admission requirements and application instructions.
 

Certification is required to apply

Note that you must already have a current Colorado CNA certification to enroll in the Acute Care Nurse Aide program. If you are not currently a certified nurse aide, the Aims Nurse Aide Certificate program will give you the skills you need for certification.

Mandatory orientation

Admission to the Acute Care Nurse Aide Certificate program requires you to attend a mandatory orientation session. This session covers registration details and important information about class requirements. 

Fall 2024 mandatory orientation sessions

Monday, August 19, 2024 at 9 a.m. or 5 p.m. in Allied Health and Sciences Room 026.
Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 9 a.m. or 5 p.m. in Allied Health and Sciences Room 026.

  • Current Colorado CNA Certification
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
  • Background check
  • Drug screening
  • Required up-to-date immunizations
