CARE Resources

On this page, you'll find resources that students can access at Aims and in our community in a variety of categories.

CARE and Counseling services are unable to provide walk-in or crisis services. In the event of a life-threatening emergency please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. If you are having mental health concerns you can call 988 or visit 988lifeline.org for immediate support.

Case Management Services

Aims Community College offers free case management services. If you or a fellow student is experiencing distress, facing basic needs challenges or encountering any other barriers to success, please submit a CARE Report. Our team is here to support you by offering personalized assistance through in-person or video meetings. Together, we'll create a Wellness Success Plan that focuses on your top goals and needs, while also helping you navigate and coordinate the right on-campus and off-campus resources for your success.

Disability Access Services

Disability Access Services (DAS) collaborates campus-wide to ensure students with disabilities and/or who are pregnant, have equal opportunities.  DAS promotes an inclusive learning environment through information, resources, education and direct services to students, faculty and staff.  Any students needing accommodations are encouraged to seek assistance as early as possible by contacting the Disability Access Services (DAS) Office at 970-339-6565 or disabilities@aims.edu to set up an intake appointment to discuss the process of requesting reasonable accommodations.

Student Informal Complaint

The Student Informal Complaint (SIC) process (Procedure 611-04) allows students to voice concerns they may have about a Campus department, another student, or College employee. Students work with SIC Team Facilitators to address their concerns with the appropriate College department/ employee in a timely manner, at the lowest level possible.

Questions? Please contact Sarah Lindahl at sarah.lindahl@aims.edu or 970.829.4980.
