Jackie Chabot

Job Title
Program Coordinator II, Transfer Services
Bio

Educational Background

B.A. Psychology – University of Northern Colorado (2011)

Professional Background

Jackie has been working in higher education at Aims Community College since 2005. She has experience with admissions processes, tuition classification, transfer credit evaluations, graduation, and course registration from working within the Registration and Records area for eleven years. After years of serving students from an admissions standpoint, she changed to a position that provided more opportunities to work with students one-on-one through creating programming for students.

She developed and offered workshops covering a variety of topics spanning health and wellness, academics, career & transfer, technology, and multiculturalism & leadership by working with other staff and faculty from across the college, as well as with outside entities to provide programming to students on a semesterly basis. These workshops helped to provide support to students throughout their educational journey at Aims.

The accumulation of these past experiences helped lead to her current position within Transfer Services. She currently helps provide support and guidance to students who are maneuvering through the process of transferring to a four-year university/college to pursue a bachelor’s degree. She enjoys meeting with students one-on-one to walk them through the various transfer steps to help ensure their transition goes smoothly. She also plans and organizes recruiter visits to all Aims campuses, semesterly transfer fairs and transfer campus visits to provide Aims students with opportunities to get exposure to various four-year schools and campuses that will help them decide where to go next after Aims.

Personal Interests

Jackie enjoys reading and spending time with her family and fur babies.
