Located in Kersey, Platte Valley high school is a part of the RE-7 school district and is a comprehensive high school offering courses in several Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways from early childhood education, to Business, and Accounting. Students also have access to Guaranteed Transfer courses in English.

MAN 2016 - Small Business Management

Examines the elements necessary for the successful formation of a new small business and to enhance the skills of those already involved in the operation of a small business. This course includes the development of a complete small business plan. Course is not repeatable for credit.

Presents the analysis of theoretical marketing processes and the strategies of product development, pricing, promotion and distribution, and their applications to businesses and the individual consumer. Course is not repeatable for credit.

ACC 1001 - Fundamentals of Accounting

Introduces accounting fundamentals with emphasis on the procedures and practices used in business organizations. Major topics include the accounting cycle for service and merchandising companies, including end-of-period reporting. Course is not repeatable for credit.

Emphasizes the planning, writing, and revising of compositions, including the development of critical and logical thinking skills. This course includes a wide variety of compositions that stress analytical, evaluative, and persuasive/argumentative writing. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT-CO1 category. MAT 1240 - Mathematics for the Liberal Arts: GT-MA1

Highlights connections between mathematics and the society in which we live and is intended for liberal arts majors. Topics include set theory and logic, mathematical modeling, probability and statistical methods, and consumer mathematics. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT-MA1 category. Course readiness is determined by review of high school transcripts, assessment, and/or meeting with an Aims Academic Advisor. Course is not repeatable for credit.

Introduces the application of fundamental business principles to local, national, and international forums.
